WHAT: The Local Government Authority for the area - responsible for both district and regional functions for the area from Potaka on the East Cape down to the Wharerata lookout, south of Gisborne and inland to Matawai.

WHERE: Administration centre in Gisborne city, with a service centre at Te Puia and work sites throughout the city.

STAFF: 195 full time employees.
